TRUE LISTENING
Listening may be the greatest gift we give to ourselves and others. Through the practices of "TRUE (Trust, Relationship, Unknown, Ease) Listening," we acquire tools to listen better and more deeply. Over four weeks, Elizabeth Vander Kamp, will teach us to practice listening employing the tools of silence, reflection, and service.
Elizabeth Vander Kamp worked in Lakeshore Foundation Aquatics for a decade. In 2014, she became one of the founding artists of UAB's Arts in Medicine (AIM) program. Since 2020, she has facilitated Expressive Writing through AIM with people living with spinal cord injuries, transverse myelitis, multiple sclerosis, and family caregivers of people with ALS. Elizabeth founded TRUE listening in 2018 because she felt how much people wanted and needed to be heard. Her retreats and workshops create an environment of care where we learn to listen better to ourselves, the Divine, nature, and each other through practice.
