Cold weather will be upon us before we know it, and our unhoused or inadequately housed neighbors need to find ways to stay warm, especially in a time when housing is becoming scarcer and more precarious and utility costs are on the rise.
Common Table and the Ministry Center are therefore calling on the church and members of the community to donate 100 new or lightly used warm coats to the Common Table Clothes Closet over the month of October. Of course, we also welcome other winter items, such as hats, scarves, and gloves.
A clothing rack and coat hangers will be stationed in the fellowship hall for donations. If you wish to drop off coats during weekday business hours, please call the church office ahead of time to make sure the appropriate staff member is there to receive you.
